On Thursday 4 October our school celebrated Animal Awareness Day. During morning assembly, the Head of School spoke about this special day and about the love we should have towards animals. He also told us that there would be a surprise during the day!<\/p>\n

And what a surprise! During the Mathematics lesson, while the teacher was explaining how to read and write large numbers, two lovely dogs, Buddy and Lulu, came into class accompanied by their carer.<\/p>\n

Buddy is a large, snow-white\u00a0dog. He was abondoned, run over by a car and even shot. He was rescued and\u00a0now lives happily with his owner. Lulu is a brown dog which was also run over by a car. Luckily, she was rescued and\u00a0will soon\u00a0be going to Germany to a new, loving\u00a0home!<\/p>\n

The two dogs were so happy to be with us that they did not want to leave the classroom. Buddy lay down on the floor waiting to be patted. We were really excited and with the teacher’s permission and under the watchful eye of their carer, we carefully approached the dogs\u00a0to pat them. We really enjoyed ourselves and so did the two dogs!<\/p>\n

The school also collected cat and dog food to help stray animals.<\/p>\n
