Fieldwork gives pupils the possibility of experiencing &#8220;hands on&#8221; animals and plants in their natural environment.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the activities that the children were involved in.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They measured the temperature, the strength and direction of the wind and the humidity.<\/li>\n<li>They measured long distances using a trundle wheel.<\/li>\n<li>They looked at the characteristics of different trees.<\/li>\n<li>They looked for different flowers and collected pollen.<\/li>\n<li>They looked for seeds.<\/li>\n<li>They looked at the way insects such as bees and butterflies.<\/li>\n<li>They looked at small animals and insects that live in a dry habitat through a lens.<\/li>\n<li>They carried out some research on rubbish that people dump in the area.<\/li>\n<li>They looked for insects, frogs and other animals.<\/li>\n<li>They measured and weighed snails, leaves and other natural samples.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery
