Welcome to the new scholastic year. It’s now been 2 weeks since school resumed, and everyone is now back on track, geared for the challenges that this new adventure will offer.
Refurbishment works at school continued throughout the summer. The school secretary’s office has now been relocated to the ground floor, in order to better meet the needs of the school community. We have also relocated classrooms so that classes in the same year group are on the same floor.
The multi-purpose room project is also well under way and hopefully this new facility will be up and running by the end of this scholastic year.
This year we have also welcomed a good number of new staff members and we are positive that this new blood will continue to support our continued effort to excel in what we do as a school community.
One of the most important innovations this year however, has been the introduction of subject teaching in Year 6. While a teacher is still responsible for each class, as of this year, the three main subjects, English, Maltese and Mathematics are being taught by 3 different teachers. This has numerous advantages, least of which is the fact that we have already started preparing our Year 6 students to face the transition from Primary to Middle School next year.
There are various other projects in the pipeline ensuring some exciting times ahead for our students. We look forward to sharing them with you!
