Year 5 students were recently involved in a project aimed at getting to know countries in the EU. Students researched information and produced various write ups, charts and models about 6 countries from the EU – France, Lithuania, England, Spain, Malta and Italy. Students and parents were also invited to try cooking something typical from these countries.All the work the children did was put together in an exhibition on Friday 12 April. Parents brought the food they had cooked and everyone could taste the delicious food from the different countries.
A group of students also participated in a quiz about the EU. There were 6 teams taking part and each team was made up of a student from the 6 year 5 classes. All the students enjoyed themselves and the members of the winning team got a bag of goodies from MEUSAC.
