Here is a list of activities that we expect ALL Year 5 students to complete by Sunday 22 March 2020.

Note – If you know someone who does not have access to internet, give them a telephone call and let them know what they can do. Help out in any way you can.

Monday 16 March 2020

• Revise high-frequency words by watching this video. Find a comfortable place and read in English for 30 minutes or more.
• Study the multiplication tables from 1 to 12. Use this link to help you. Test yourself. Take the multiplication challenge here or here.
• From an English book that you read before, find 10 difficult words and list them in alphabetical order. Find the meaning of each word in a dictionary or on an online dictionary and write their meaning on a foolscap. Study these words.
• Animal Habitats. Play this game, and then try this one.
• Draw a picture of your favourite video game or cartoon character.

• Sib spazju għall-kwiet u komdu u aqra ktieb bil-Malti għal 30 minuta. Jekk issib xi kliem diffiċli, aqsamhom s’sillabi u ara li taf xi jfissru.
• Walk around the house and with your tablet take a photo of at least 10 objects that are cylinders. Make a presentation using PowerPoint.
• Help an adult with cooking for the family. Take note of all the ingredients used and write the recipe. You can write it in English or in Maltese.
• Visit one of Heritage Malta’s sites, virtually!

• Read in English for at least 30 minutes.
• Solve one of these online puzzles and take a photo with your tablet when you are done.
• 3D Shapes – Create 3D shapes using these nets to help you. For each shape, count the number of faces, vertices and edges.
• If you don’t know them yet, make sure you learn you parents’ mobile numbers and home address by heart!

• Who are some of the most famous people alive when your parents were born? Use this site to find out. Choose one of these people and find out more about him or her. Prepare a presentation about this person to share with your classmates when we go back to school.
• Create an origami model. Take your pick from here. When you are done, take a picture with your table.
• Play a board game with your family.
